All over Azeroth, mysterious crates began appearing, and soon enough, the populace turned into the undead. The World of Warcraft: The Old, the New, and the Legendary Classic Pre-Patch gives players a sneak peek at upcoming content for the WOTLK Classic expansion. On September 26, 2022, WOTLK Classic will go live, and with it will come a brand new Death Knight class, Inscription, and unique events. The World of Warcraft: The Old Republic Classic Pre-Patch is almost here, and we've compiled a list of five things you can do in preparation.

1. Upgrade the Death Knight

A Death Knight is available to players during the World of Warcraft: The Old Republic Classic Pre-Patch, rather than having to wait until after the game's release. You can think of this update as the precursor to Burning Crusade's Pre-Patch, in which players were given access to Blood Elves and Draenei. Death Knight experience can be gained in the final Burning Crusade raids. Neither will players be demoted if they are already at level 55, nor will they be prevented from immediately moving on to Northrend at level 70.

2. Switch Freely Between Different Specs

This Pre-Patch not only fixes bugs, but also refreshes the talent trees for Death Knight. The Burning Crusade expansion also received some fixes. In Wrath of the Lich King, players can acquire new capstone talents without expending 10 talent points. You can still actively try out new things, even though the rework of talent revamps provide a better gaming experience than the previous spec. In the upcoming WOTLK Classic, players will be able to switch spec without spending any WOTLK Classic gold by taking advantage of the game's dual spec system. Before committing to the default settings, you can check compatibility with other players. At long last, you're free to hop between player vs. player matches whenever you like.

3. Upgrade the New Inscription

The new Inscription profession in World of Warcraft's latest expansion adds a lot of useful options for players. Improved access to your class's fundamental abilities and skills is possible with the help of glyphs. The complete scribe-made Darkmoon deck can be bartered for small items. In the original Wrath of the Lich King, these trinkets are among the finest items a player can acquire. Enchanters also have access to scrolls that can be purchased from the Auction House or traded amongst themselves to improve their abilities.

4. Participate in the Zombie Plague Event

From September 6th to the 13th, WOTLK Classic will host a special event called "Zombie Plague." The outbreak of zombies is a part of the larger Scourge Invasion. The duration of the event has been reduced because its goal is to halt the player's progression by turning them into a zombie. All over Azeroth, mysterious crates began appearing, and soon enough, the populace turned into the undead. The storyline that will be expanded upon in Wrath of the Lich King has its early beginnings in this event. From the beginning of the Zombie Plague event, players can take on multiple missions, ultimately leading them to the Scourge Invasion. World of Warcraft players reacted strongly to the Zombie Plague event. During my time testing the PTR, I encountered this issue multiple times, and it only gets worse as the server population grows. Invading the city of Azeroth is easier when players band together, much like how zombies are more effective when they have friends in tow.

5. Get Arcanite Ripper and Vampiric Batling pets

You can find Prince Tenris Mirkblood in the kitchen above Attumen the Huntsman in Karazhanin, where he sells both items. Both items have a validity period of two weeks, so you'll need to get them quickly.
