Lost Ark is gradually releasing difficult content for players who have reached the end game. The first of these to be released is a Legion Raid, a multi-phase instanced encounter. The bosses in this raid will undoubtedly put players' abilities to the test as they attempt to defeat them. The Valtan Legion Raid kicks off what many Lost Ark players consider to be the best content the endgame has to offer. It is also some of the most difficult content ever released. Parties of players who want to complete the Legion Raid with as few headaches as possible will undoubtedly appreciate some pointers. Here are some of our best tips to make your trip a little easier.

Purple Wolf Attacks Are Mostly Frontal

The first phase of the Legion raid pits players against a splitting wolf. Players face only one Boss, the Purple Wolf, at the start of the encounter, between 50 and 45 HP bars. Because the majority of his attacks are frontal, the best places to be are at a distance or on his flanks. However, there are three attacks that players should be aware of:

1. Jump to 360-Swipe; shortly after this attack, there will be an explosion in a ring around the boss, resulting in a safe zone near or far away.

2. Tornado with three waves of four projectile Shurikens that shoot outward in an alternating pattern of a "+" and a "x." This attack can also be found in other Phases.

3. Pools that spawn beneath players and then explode. This attack can also be found in other Phases.

Know When To Use Panacea

It is recommended that you equip the consumable Battle Item Panacea on your quick slot bar prior to the raid. It will remove many damaging debuffs in this fight. It can be used to reduce the amount of damage you and the raid take, as well as to avoid certain mechanics, allowing you to spend more time damaging the boss. The following are the three best times to use it:

1. The boss applies a bleeding debuff that damages players over time in Phase 1 during the Red Wolf Phase, between 45 and 30 HP bars. This debuff can stack up to three times, and on the third application, an Area of Effect attack will be launched, dealing massive damage to anyone who is hit by it.

2. Valtan spawns four blue orbs at the arena's edge, one in each cardinal direction, with red telegraphs of concentric rings surrounding them in Phase 2. When a player touches one of these orbs, they will receive a debuff that increases their damage taken.

3. Valtan also has an attack in Phase 2 that can be countered, and when successfully countered, it silences that player. Normally, players must flee the group because the debuff can spread to nearby players.

Aiming Sidereal Power Thirain To Deal Double Damage

When the Wolf Boss splits into two bosses, a Blue wolf and a Red wolf, it is possible to speed up this phase by using Thirain's Sidereal Power. Thirian attacks in a directional line, as you can see. It is possible to damage both bosses depending on how the bosses are placed and where the raid leader is in relation to the bosses when they use it. Using taunting skills can help line up the bosses and make it easier to aim Thirain's attack. You can use the Taunt Tripod to taunt the Gunlancer skill "Shout of Hatred" and the Berserker skill "Endure Pain" with the Taunt Scarecrow Battle Item if your raid lacks either of these classes.

Splendid Panacea Negates Orb Mechanic

Splendid Panacea, the Battle Item, is an upgraded version of Panacea. It also provides 2 seconds of immunity to debuffs. This is especially useful for the Blue and Red Orb mechanics, which appear at 30 and 15 HP Bars, respectively. To avoid a debuff, players will normally touch 1 orb in a specific order. They are killed instantly if they come into contact with another orb while under the debuff.

If a player uses a Splendid Panacea just before the orbs arrive, the orbs can be absorbed without penalty. As a result, a straightforward strategy for this mechanic is for one player to stand near the boss while the other players stand far away. Just before collecting all of the orbs, the player who collects them uses a Splendid Panacea. After collecting the orbs, everyone can safely stagger the boss; remember to use the Sidereal: Wei for even more stagger!

Avoiding The Fear Mechanic

At low health, the Wolf Boss will merge back into the Purple Wolf form, which will be used during the last phase of the fight. About every two minutes, they will target the player who is furthest away from the boss with a deadly attack, causing them to flee in terror. Pay particular attention to the Purple Stagger bar beneath the Boss's HP bar; it will flash, disappear, and be replaced with a miniature lock symbol. This is the time to use an AwakeningSkill or time a Spacebar Dash to get away from harm. Both of these powers temporarily protect their users from crowd control mechanisms like this one.

Gathering Blue Orbs Increases The Sidereal Bar

In the second phase, when you face up against Valtan himself, you'll need to destroy the arena's supporting pillars to keep yourself safe from area-of-effect attacks. The walls and pillars of the arena are typically broken in a pattern that begins at 3 o'clock and continues counterclockwise around the arena. The blue orbs are contained in pillars that collapse when he smashes them. Those who interact with these orbs are given a temporary benefit that protects them from a subsequent death mechanic.

Since it might be tricky to make sure each player only touches one orb, the Sidereal Power of Balthorr is usually used by less experienced groups. Using the Sidereal Power ofThirain to deal more damage and end the battle faster is possible if everyone is safe while completing this mechanism.

Time Stop Potion To Avoid Big Damage

Many times during the second half of the Valtan would benefit from the use of a Time Stop Potion. Despite the fact that it won't protect you against raid wipes or one-shot mechanisms, it can be useful if you ever find yourself in a bad situation.

At the beginning of Valtan's second phase, the room is filled with a massive area of effect (AoE), preceded by a series of lightning strikes. If you get hit by lightning more than once and can't make it to the arena's edge, use Time Stop after the fourth strike to prevent taking additional damage from the area of effect. While in the yellow telegraphed zones, a Time Stop Potion will prevent damage if you are unable to hide behind a boulder during the "pie-slice" mechanic.

As he makes his final transition at roughly 17-15 HP bars, Valtan causes significant damage by pounding the ground with his fists. The majority of parties will employ the Sidereal Power of Balthorr as a shield. Time Stop Potions, assuming you still have any at this point, can be used after the third ground punch to halt time and allow you to avoid the onslaught of damage that would otherwise be inflicted.

Play It Safe During The Final Phase

There will be between 17 and 15 HP bars left when Valtan dies and becomes a specter of himself. Very precise timing is required to successfully execute the few additional assault patterns that exist here. Any strike has a good probability of knocking you off the arena's large surface due to the arena's design. Focus your attention on the boss' assaults now if you want to survive as long as possible.

In particular, you should be wary of the following two mechanisms:

It's shaped like a cone from the front. A red telegraph that stuns the players, followed by a yellow telegraph that knocks them back. Any survivor of the first assault will be killed by the second.

On the outskirts, more foes appear, and you'll need to respond fast to them.
