August's update for Lost Ark is due out on the 24th, and while it's not as substantial as previous monthly updates, it does add a critically important new feature called the Pet Ranch. The Lost Ark has always placed a premium on the companionship of furry friends. Some pets not only improve your character's statistics but also help you easily collect loot. With the new Pet Ranch addition to players' fortresses, the importance of pets will increase even further with the release of Under the Arkesian Sun.
If you want to raise your pet's Expertise level and earn Jam Cookies, which can be used to buy stuff around the Pet Ranch, put them to work in the Cookie Workshop. A pet's morale will decrease while it is training in the workshop, and an unhappy pet won't bake cookies. Player characters are responsible for boosting their pets' spirits by providing them with treats and letting them hang out at the ranch. With enough Jam Cookies and Pet Growth tokens, players can increase their pet's rarity once their pet reaches maximum Expertise level. Legendary pets have the ability to learn a random, powerful skill that will be used during random times during combat. Skills can have a wide variety of effects, such as regenerating a significant amount of health, increasing attack speed, or resetting the cooldown of movement skills.
Although the Pet Ranch is the most notable change, the patch notes also highlight a few other additions. With the return of Event Guardians, players have a chance to acquire more materials, and the addition of the Blooming Mokokos event to the currently running Maharaka Festival gives players yet another way to increase their wealth. The shop has also been updated to include several new skins, such as those for the Shiba Inu pet, the cyberpunk-inspired Wingsuit Armor, and the Neon Weapon. Below are the complete patch notes for Under the Arkesian Sun. The free-to-play MMORPG is getting a new Legion raid and a new class, the Machinist, in September, which isn't a huge update but will be welcome nonetheless.
Under The Arkesian Sun Update Full Patch Notes
Event Guardians
Arkesia's Event Guardians have returned! Experience a new and exciting spin on Guardian Raids by seeking out and eliminating three Guardians in a balanced arena. Players must be at least level 50 in Combat and have an Item Level of 250 or higher to enter. In order to succeed, you must defeat the Event Guardian and force it to drop buffs, which can be used multiple times. Thanks to the bonuses, your ability to deal damage will be greatly enhanced. Tokens can be claimed once per character per day from a rewards chest after defeating all three Guardians. An event vendor accepts tokens earned from Event Guardians and offers a wide variety of weekly rewards for those tokens.
Pet Ranch
A new addition to the Stronghold, the Pet Ranch is a place where your Pets can play, level up, and become even more useful companions, all while you enjoy the benefits and reap the rewards. The cute and precious Pets aiding adventurers across Arkesia are ready to further help their worthy leaders by creating Jam Cookies and earning Pet Expertise to level up and unlock new abilities. Pets can be leveled all the way up to Legendary by exchanging Jam Cookies for Pet Growth Tokens and training them to maximum Pet Expertise. Several options become available after a Pet is elevated to the Legendary tier. Legendary pets are endowed with a potent ability of some sort, and this ability will apply one of three effects to you at irregular intervals during battle. Randomly unlocking and switching between six distinct Pet Skills is possible.
Maharaka Festival – Blooming Mokokos
Good fortune can be found in the leaves of the Maharaka Tree, which grows in Maharaka Paradise. During the Maharaka Festival, you can collect them and trade them in for fantastic prizes. As of this month, a new event called Blooming Mokokos will be part of the ongoing Maharaka festival. Every two hours in Maharaka Paradise, players who find flowering Mokokos are rewarded with Lost Ark Gold. The greater the number of Mokokos you uncover, the better your odds!
