How Classes Work in Throne and Liberty

In Throne and Liberty, your class is determined by the two weapons you equip – one main-hand and one off-hand. Each weapon has 10 active skills, 7 passive skills, and 1 defensive skill you can choose from. Your skill bar can hold 12 skills total, drawn from both weapons. Your main-hand choice determines your stats and scaling, while your off-hand supplements any weaknesses.

You'll also gain Guardian skills at level 25, and Transcendent skills as you progress, and can upgrade skills with Growstones. Most importantly, you can freely swap weapons anytime, so you're not locked into one build!

Weapon Types

Crossbow

Great for single-target damage and mobility. Restores mana on demand and breaks immobilizations. Better as an off-hand due to mobility skills. Pair with a Dagger or Wand for close damage and healing.

Dagger

Excellent burst damage. Gains power as enemies' health drops. Stealth and poisons. Best for PvP/PvE bursts. Pair with a Greatsword for AoE or a Crossbow for mobility.

Greatsword

Strong AoE damage and crowd control. High survivability for a melee weapon. Great for leveling anddungeons. Pair with Dagger or Crossbow for single-target.

Longbow

Highest single-target damage. Immobilizes and heals. Stationary playstyle. Pair with Staff for AoE or Wand for healing.

Staff

Massive AoE damage but low survivability. Elemental debuffs. Squishy – pair with Wand or Longbow for defense.

Sword and Shield

True tank weapon. Taunts, guards, and perfect defense skills. Low damage but high group utility. Pair with Greatsword for AoE damage.

Wand

Healing and Curse debuff. Slight DOT damage. Mana is dependent but wanted in groups. Pair with a Longbow or Sword and Shield for defense.
