Elden Ring is home to seven different Walking Mausoleums. Use this information to quickly and easily replicate Boss Memories and find their hiding spots. Among the peculiar fauna you'll encounter in Elden Ring are Walking Mausoleums. Oftentimes, you may anticipate their presence because of the sound of their bell long before you ever see one. The spectral knights that patrol the region around the Walking Mausoleums are easy to escape when riding Torrent, and they disappear altogether once the mausoleum has been destroyed. You can utilize a Walking Mausoleum to recreate any Boss Memories you've earned during the game.
Duplicating Boss Remembrances
If you defeat every major boss in the Lands Between, you'll get their Boss Remembrance as a reward. Bring this to Finger Reader Enia in Roundtable Hold to acquire a predetermined sum of Elden Ring Runes. If you bring the head of a boss you've defeated to Enia, she'll give you a choice between two rewards: a weapon and some sort of sorcery or incantation. While Enia will only give you one of these artifacts every Boss Remembrance, you can get another by duplicating one and using it on the Walking Mausoleums.
Walking Mausoleum 1: Weeping Peninsula
Weeping Peninsula, southeast of the Fourth Church of Marika place of grace, is where you'll find your first Walking Mausoleum. The Walking Mausoleum's legs are covered in white spectral skull growth. You should ride in and fight them when you find them; this will cause them to flee. If you're caught in the path of the Walking Mausoleum's stomping feet, you'll perish on the spot. Once you have smashed enough of the skull growths, the Walking Mausoleum will drop itself to the ground, revealing an entrance above it.
Walking Mausoleum 2: Liurnia of the Lakes
Northeast of Raya Lucaria Academy is where you'll find the second Walking Mausoleum. The Walking Mausoleum is located in the harbor to the east of the Raya Lucaria Academy's northern bridge, a short ride north of the Gate Town North site of grace. Among the oddest structures to demolish is this Walking Mausoleum. There is a Spirit Spring to the west of the Walking Mausoleum. Follow that to the cliffs high above the bay. Large tombstones can be seen protruding from the cliff face to the north, overlooking the bay. Carefully descend a few of these tombstones until you are hovering above the Walking Mausoleum. You can expect the Walking Mausoleum to soon be in your area. Have some patience. If you jump too soon, you may have to start your ascent from the beginning. Do nothing until the Walking Mausoleum is near to you. It will get closer, even if it feels like it won't. It will get close enough to jump without Torrent at some point, but if you want to be really certain, you may always call him. There aren't just a bunch of white skulls collected at its legs like there are on most skeletons; the entire mausoleum is covered in them. If you can break a few, you can quickly bring the structure down.
Walking Mausoleums3, 4: Liurnia of the Lakes
The third and fourth ones you find won't have a bell dangling from the bottom. They are limited to copying Boss Memories that do not involve shardbearers. These two Walking Mausoleums may be found extremely close to one another, one to the north of the Mausoleum Compound and one to the south. Both of these mausoleums can be brought down using the standard approach, which entails severing the skull growths around the legs until the skeletons descend themselves to the ground. Be wary, for these two won't just stomp around; they'll also leap high into the air and slam down with devastating force. You'll need to be quick on your feet if you want to avoid getting squished by their stone legs.
Walking Mausoleum 5: Mountaintops of the Giants
The fifth Walking Mausoleum is located in the Mountains of the Giants, outside of Castle Sol. The standard strategy will work for bringing this one down, and aside from the dramatic thunder and lightning in the region, it doesn't present any unique challenges.
Walking Mausoleum 6: Consecrated Snowfield
The sixth Walking Mausoleum is located far to the northwest of Consecrated Snowfield, not far from the Apostate Derelict chapel. As you draw near, you'll notice that this one is really different from the rest: it's shooting forth bursts of magical energy that are falling all around it. As you draw near, you can anticipate taking some damage. If you can get under it, you can simply use the standard technique to bring it crashing to the ground.
Please be aware that many players have reported bugs with this Walking Mausoleum, preventing them from replicating Boss Remembrance. While some players have been successful in repairing the region by reloading, others have never been able to do so.
Walking Mausoleum7: Deeproot Depths
The northernmost location of grace, The Nameless Eternal City, is located in Deeproot Depths, where you'll find the final Walking Mausoleum. Like the second Walking Mausoleum, this one also features skull growths, but they are dispersed throughout the body rather than at the feet. You'll want to get your horses up onto the tree roots that can be found to the southwest of the Walking Mausoleum. Basilisks are known to hide in the bowels of trees or high in the branches. Extend your ride across the roots until you reach the Mausoleum. Once that's done, you can take it down with the rest of them.
